More birds out there this year than last?

Has anybody seen more birds out there this year than last?

Did hens start setting earlier than usual?

Yes and no. Early in season I saw more birds on a couple of my places. On another couple of places i saw fewer. The birds did seem to either nest or just lay low through most of the season. The continued weather front changes weekly sure didn't help either.
